The Carver Educational Greenhouse Package is designed for schools with horticulture programs, correctional institutions, and serious gardeners for both growing and therapeutic reasons.  The Carver is the most economical way to begin or expand an agricultural program.   The 1.7” galvanized steel frame with slip fit design make assembly quick and simple.   The 6mm poly sheeting used for the wall and roof construction is the same product used in large Commercial greenhouses and is guaranteed for 4 years.   Replacement is inexpensive and easy.

The Carver Greenhouse is named after the great botanist, George Washington Carver, who created the movement of alternate uses for existing crops such as peanuts in products such as cosmetics, paints, plastics, and gasoline.  The walls of the Carver are 5 ft. tall with a center peak of 8 ft. The design of Educational greenhouses requires attention to details that are different from that of hobby or commercial greenhouses.  The design differences include the ability to accommodate large numbers of people (students) and allow them to become a part of the growing process, secure environment that can be locked when not in use, built to last construction that will provide many years of use, all within a climate controlled environment that is thermostatically controlled.  Our factory is a leader in providing functional, affordable greenhouses to schools and universities.   Our educational line of greenhouses has been refined over the years and our offering is the most comprehensive in the market today.  We have designed our Greenhouses as complete package that include all the accessories that a School, institution, or serious gardener would need.

The Snow Load on this RSI Educational Greenhouse is standard at 10 lbs. per sq. ft. The wind load is designed for 90 mph. The Educational Greenhouses are customizable and can be made to meet any local ordinances required to gain permitting. This is the responsibility of the purchaser to notify your retailer as to the requirements PRIOR to ordering as there might be additional costs associated if local requirements vary. Signed and sealed drawings are included in the cost of the greenhouse. They are based on your local municipalities requirements and will need to be supplied and confirmed by the purchaser. Riverstone is not responsible for building a greenhouse that does not meet local ordinances from the building department. Please reach out to Riverstone with any questions.
