The Real Beauty Of Forest

It’s easy to forget all the amazing things forests do for us. Take a few minutes to discover why the trees in America’s National Forests play such an important role in our world. And be sure to visit the National Forest Foundation’s NationalForests.org to learn more.

FORESTS HELP CLEAN OUR AIR.

Trees filter air pollution particles from the air by trapping them on their leaves and bark. Rain then washes them to the ground, where they’re filtered by the soil. In one year, a mature tree can absorb 10 pounds of air pollutants, the amount emitted by an average gas-powered lawn mower.
